1. Two patients with multicentric extra-abdominal desmoid tumours are reported. Multicentric foci have not been described previously.

2. Both cases conform to the usual clinical, macroscopic and microscopic criteria of desmoid tumours in all other regards.

3. Their occurrence in a single limb bud suggests a congenital propensity and leads to the advocacy of radical surgery in such cases.

1. The clinical, radiological and pathological features in seven cases of subchondral bone cyst are described.

2. Various hypotheses on the etiology of the lesion are discussed.

3. Although the hypothesis of vascular disturbance is thought to be the most attractive one, it is concluded that study of material from much earlier lesions than that hitherto available is essential if any justifiable theory is to be propounded.

1 . The clinical results in forty cases of repair of the median nerve at the wrist have been examined. Almost half were unsatisfactory.

2. The factors that may have predisposed to failure of adequate re-innervation are discussed.

3. The results might be improved by the use of radio-opaque markers for early detection of separation at the suture line, and by the use of frozen sections to determine the adequacy of resection.
